Rebecca Wirfs-­Brock is an innovator in software architecture and design techniques and author of two popular object design books. Although best known as the creator of Responsibility-Driven Design and the xDD meme, she is also interested in simply expressing complex requirements and effectively designing software architecture. She is Director of the Agile Alliance's Experience Report Program and a co-founder of the Agile Open Northwest Conference. She champions bringing the right balance of design and architecture to agile projects. She writes patterns on sustainable architecture, agile software quality, and adaptive systems, and in her spare time jogs, even when it’s raining.
